Deep-cycle batteries are the best of the flat plated batteries. The battery plates are made very accurately and installed in the battery using special top quality separators. This results in the deep-cycle battery having the longest life-span of all flat plated batteries.

Trojan deep cycle batteries have a life-span of 500 to 900 charging cycles, depending on the model. Batteries can only achieve the anticipated life-span if they are properly maintained. In practice deep-cycle batteries can be used for medium applications (2-4 charging cycles per week). For more intensive usage you should choose traction batteries. For lighter applications we recommend semi-traction batteries.
